Romantic Sunset is one of the wonderful illustrations from the book DOTS & Mandalas by Laura Wokal. This artist has many books with different themes, all full of illustrations created with Dots. I find her work great, because you can just colour it quickly to relax or take your time and create with the Dots, using colour combos and adding backgrounds. www.laurawokal.com.

Colouring dots is so relaxing! I really loved working on this page because I focused only in colour and shape and forgot the world around me for a while 🙂

I’ve used Polychromos Faber-Castell to colour the dots and Soft Pastels Gallery Mungyo on the background. I’ve applied a layer of a fixative to keep the soft pastel’s pigment in place. Always test before using a fixative, it can alter the colours of some pencils. A little bit of pigment from the background got mixed with the pencils, but that’s fine – I’m happy with the result and I had a wonderful time colouring this page!!!
