Twilight Garden is one of my favorite colouring books. The original illustrations created by Maria Trolle are really enchanting. The images all seem to be connected, depicting a natural and insightful world. We are invited to stroll through a beautiful summer garden, where rabbits and deer hop and hedgehogs cuddle in the shade. Butterflies fly above the wildflowers and you can even find owls and foxes among the plants. I just want to start this journey and colour every page!🎨

I used Holbein pencils to complete the drawings and Pablo pencils on the background. In this one I decided to treat the background as an abstract image, filling in the shapes with colour transitions that complemented the figures. I think the Pablo pencils were a great choice as they can apply multiple layers creating beautiful gradients. It takes patience to layer colours with pencils, but the results are definitely worthy. I had a great time working on this one! 😃
