Frogs always had a special place in Magic, being present in art and mythology from all over the world. In this charming page from Summer Nights by Hanna Karlzon, we are invited to colour a bewitching frog and precious jewels.

I took my time to finish the page and work all the details. I used two of my favourite pencils: Polychromos Faber-Castell and Pablos Caran D’Ache. To colour the background, I used soft pastels Mungyo Gallery. They do require a layer of fixative to keep pigment in place. This time I made a paper mask to protect the drawing when the spray was being applied. It worked well. To complete, Posca Pens for little details.
